Ticket SMS

How it works

From October 1, 2024, buy your tickets by SMS !

Simply text the code “Bibus1h” to the number 93400 (make sure there are no spaces between Bibus and 1h). You'll then receive a text message that acts as your ticket. Present your ticket received by SMS to the driver when boarding the bus.

This ticket is accessible to anyone with a smartphone, and requires no application or internet connection.

Frequently asked questions

  • When should I buy my SMS ticket? The SMS ticket must be purchased before boarding the vehicle (bus, streetcar or cable car). Ideally, you should buy it when you see the bus, streetcar or cable car approaching.

  • What are the requirements ? This service is available on any phone model with a Free, SFR, Orange or Bouygues Telecom subscription (excluding business packages, foreign operators or special commercial offers or virtual operators).

  • Can several people travel together ? Yes, it's possible. You just need to text 93400 as many times as the number of people making the journey. Please note, however, that in the event of a check, the person who purchased the various tickets must be present with the phone used.

  • How much does my ticket cost and how is my SMS charged ? The price of the “Bibus1h” SMS ticket is €1.70, at no extra charge. The number is not surcharged. The cost is deducted directly from your phone bill.

  • What do I do if I haven't received an SMS ? If your SMS Ticket is unsuccessful, an error message will be sent to you (no billing will take place). This purchase may not be authorized by your operator.

  • Is it possible to use it in park-and-ride facilities ? The SMS ticket does not allow automatic exit from the Strasbourg P+R. Use a magnetic ticket if you wish to use this park-and-ride facility.

  • What to do in the event of an inspection ? In the event of an inspection, you must show the inspector the SMS ticket displayed on the screen of your cell phone (and that of each user, if applicable). To check the validity of the SMS ticket, the ticket inspector passes his or her cell phone over the screen of the cell phone used to purchase the SMS ticket, and scans the control code on the SMS ticket.
